!Theft Warning!
As you may have heard by now, last evening one of our neighbors had his vehicle stolen from his garage. This is just the latest in an up tick in petty crime that has occurred in Holly Springs. One common denominator is that the vehicles were parked in driveways, on the street and in open garages. The majority of incident have happened in the wee hours of the morning, however the stolen van happened at 7:30 PM and Tara Holland had her purse and cell phone stolen from her garage at 8 AM. Interest has been expressed in organizing a Block Watch program. I would like you to put a news item on the HS web page alerting everyone to the problem, suggesting they lock their cars at all times and keep their garage doors closed. Most garage openings in HS are not visible from the street, but those that are (like yours) appear to be more vulnerable. Also, you might ask any interested in establishing a Block Watch Program to contact me by email.

IMPORTANT
Neighborhood Watch
So far, seven people have volunteered to be captains. Five more captains are needed, as well as an overall program leader. Needed for coverage: 2 on Juniper Springs Drive, 2 on Holly Springs Drive, and 1 more on Willow Springs Drive. Once these five plus a "supreme commander" come forward, I will contact Officer Pickett of 8th Division of LMPD to make a date for the next meeting.
Thanks,
Philip Browne

Brenda Wright a Holly Springs resident unfortunately has done just that. She lost
